Irina Weil, MD

Functional Medicine Physician

Dr. Irina Weil believes the key to wellness is to create a strong foundation that includes a delicate balance between nutrition, movement, and mind-body health. Her commitment as a physician is dedicated to exploring the “why” as it relates to patient care, not just the “what”.  This focus on “why” – finding the root cause of illness – is also what pulled her to specialize in Integrative and Functional Medicine.

Dr. Weil graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a degree in Biology and Spanish.  She received her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Hunterdon Medical Center in New Jersey where she was selected for the Excellence in Teaching Award.  She also completed the health coaching program through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

Dr. Weil completed her Integrative Medicine training through the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine in Residency program and completed her fellowship through the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine. She is board certified in Integrative and Holistic Medicine and is currently pursuing certification in Functional Medicine.

While Dr. Weil has a strong interest in optimizing the gut microbiome and treating gut related issues, she is also family doctor at heart and treats all health issues from joint pain, heart disease, to women’s health and thyroid issues.

Dr. Weil loves experimenting in the kitchen, exercising, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
