24Wednesday 24th | 25Thursday 25th Register Online An Introduction to QiGongSimilar to Tai Chi, Qigong is a system of exercises that have been in use by millions of people for at least 2000 years. Qigong is a group of slow moving exercises that help to move energy throughout your body and involves using breath work and mindfulness to help you concentrate on your activity. It is accessible to virtually everyone including the very young and very old and no prior experience is needed to participate.
Qigong works in many ways to improve health. Here are a few of its benefits: • Helps prevent disease and cancer by boosting the immune system
The class will cover a brief history, the benefits, and will include performing the exercises and meditations together. Participants will learn about this ancient system, how it differs from Tai Chi, and how simple it is to practice everyday for its many health benefits.
